SYMPTOMS
When posting to your weblog from NewsGator, the resulting HTML markup may not render correctly on browsers other than Internet Explorer.
In particular, list items (<li> elements) will sometimes render incorrectly.
CAUSE
The MS Word editor within Outlook can sometimes generate HTML using styles which will not render identically on IE and Netscape/Mozilla.
WORKAROUND
The easiest way to work around this problem is to use Outlook's built-in HTML editor, instead of the MS Word editor. To do so, from Outlook, go to the Tools menu, select Options, click the Mail Format tab, and clear the option to "Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages."
If you prefer to use the MS Word editor, then you may need to take an additional step when you are creating your posts, if you find that they are not rendering as desired. In particular, format your posts using the "Normal (Web)" style. The easiest way to control the style is to turn on the formatting toolbar when composing your message, and you can change the style from there.
