SUMMARY
To integrate NewsGator feeds with your webpage, use NewsGator's "Headlines" feature.
How to set up Headlines
- Sign into NewsGator Online
- Click the "My Settings" link at the top of the page
- Click 'Edit Locations'
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and create a new location.
- Find your new location and click the associated 'Feeds' link.
- You will see all your subscriptions for NewsGator Online. Unchecked any feeds you don't want display on your web page, then click 'Update' at the bottom of the page
- Now click the 'Headlines' link for your location
- Select the box next to "Check here to enable Headlines settings for this location."
- Find the script text (just above the 'Check here to enable Headlines settings for this location' check box) and copy the full HTML line into your website where you want the feeds to appear
- If you desire, modify and format the tags within the text box
- Select Save changes
How to create a Ticker
On your web page, encapsulate the script tags with *marquee* tags.
On the locations page, modify and format the tags within the headlines formatting box. At the very least you will need to remove the <p></p> references. Here is a formatting example:
